In the December 2023 quarter compared with the September 2023 quarter:
- The consumer price index (CPI) increased by 8.8 percent.
- The largest increase in prices this quarter is in the Communication group which increased to 132.2 percent,
- contributing a 6.6 percent increase to overall CPI inflation.
- On the contrary, the Restaurant and hotel posted the highest decrease of -6.2 percent, contributing -0.6 per-
- cent to the overall CPI.
- The Alcohol beverage and tobacco group shows no changes.
